My Role
As a UI/UX Designer, I worked on various projects for Aimlabs from beginning to launch.
Skills
UI / UX Design, Unity UI implementation.
Tools
Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Unity, Visual Studio, SourceTree (Git).
Overview
Trusted by over 60 million players across PC and Xbox, Aimlabs is an AI-powered training platform designed to sharpen core FPS aiming skills. It was built by a team of neuroscientists, designers, developers, and computer vision pioneers who love gaming. Aimlabs uses a combination of cognitive and sensory assessments to help gamers maximize their performance through gameplay.
Detailed case studies and process work are coming soon!
Play Menu Animations
I created animations for the Play menu (prototyped in Figma, animated in Unity) to give each feature more impact. For the premium features Sensitivity Finder and Adaptive Tasks, this resulted in an increased conversion rate from this flow.
Aimlabs+ Premium Hub
I designed the Aimlabs+ Premium Hub, a home for members to learn about each feature and launch them directly. Implementing this resulted in an increased retention of premium members.
1000 free trials were also distributed to free users every day. This improved the conversion rate for these cohorts.

Social Replays
We discovered that power users enjoy scouring leaderboards and viewing replays of top players. To boost discoverability and social interaction to all users, I suggested the concept of leveraging the existing replay functionality, and making it more social by aggregating top plays daily and weekly. Showcasing usernames, cosmetic avatars, view counts, comments, and likes helps get users excited about having their plays featured in Aimlabs.
Additionally, premium users gain the ability to view detailed analytics and suggestions powered by the AI coach for their own plays as well as those of other users. This motivates users to become members to learn in more how they compare to top players and friends, and how exactly they can adjust their aim to beat their rivals.

Sensitivity Finder 2.0
Sensitivity Finder 1.0 was a tool that allowed Aimlabs+ members to optimize their mouse sensitivity for a specific task for Aimlabs. However, it was not friendly to most users and did not meet their expectations. Sensitivity Finder 2.0 is a new launch of the feature that optimizes a user’s mouse sensitivity for the games they play, rather than Aimlabs-specific tasks.
Featuring one primary, dynamic call-to-action and placing insights and analytics in the AI Coach allows the feature to be more digestible and widely used for all Aimlabs users.

Improved Pause Menu
Users were taking significant amounts of time unnecessarily clicking through menus to view and play tasks in Aimlabs, and would forget what task is being played. The only content visible in the past were the buttons Resume, Restart, Settings, Exit to Menu, and Exit to Desktop. Although this works in some games, Aimlabs is a training tool, and the Pause menu had potential to serve an active purpose. I created a new pause menu that allows users to chat, browse and launch content, view leaderboards, and more. The task info and side panel can also be hidden away for a distraction-free environment.
Users enjoy finally being able to view the task name, author, description and high score. The time taken to browse and launch content was successfully reduced from 1-2 minutes to 3-10 seconds.
