Itch.io is a platform for the hosting and distribution of independent digital games. Although digital games are the most common form of media distributed, other types of projects can also be found.

The platform allows creators to create websites for their digital projects, as its editor allows pages to be designed by modifying settings for typography, colours, and layout. Although this system has more limitations compared to hosting independent websites, creators benefit from the platform’s existing userbase and content management features.
