Vegas Infinite Smart Mirror UI

My Role
UI/UX Design

Tools I Used
Figma, Illustrator

The Dressing Room is a location in the Player Suite where the player loads into the game. From here, they can join games and host private games by inviting friends.

Before we developed the Dressing Room, the only way that the player was able to customize their appearance and view their apparel was via the Watch UI. This was not an ideal experience, especially in VR as it was difficult to preview the items and avatar at scale.

The Dressing Room was a major improvement in the immersive experience of customizing player avatars in VR. However, when the Dressing Room was released, it did not have feature parity with the Wrist UI. Players were unable to view an item’s name, description, rarity, or customize the colour of items.

I was tasked with designing the Smart Mirror. Below are a few variations that I created in Figma.

Certain apparel items, such as hats blocked the lower area of the mirror. Any UI would have to avoid this area completely (marked in red).
Choosing a custom colour. Currently, only specific colours are supported, but it would be nice to include a pop-out colour wheel to select custom colours.
A colour slider variant instead of a pop-out menu.

Outcome

This design project was initially a success. However, due to a lack of resources, we were unable to fully bring this project to life. I would have liked to continue the design for the smart mirror, but the project is currently on hold, and my focus shifted to the revamp of the Wrist UI.
